CIRCLES

Every woman in the church is invited to attend the ladies’ monthly Bible Circle meetings.  We offer two circles, one in the morning and one in the evening.

On the third Thursday of each month, a morning circle meets at the church with light refreshments and a Bible study.  The meeting begins at 10:30 am and usually concludes around 12 noon.  For 2010 and 2011, the ladies will explore the Bible study Authentic Relationships: Being Real In An Artificial World.

The second Tuesday of each month, our evening circle meets beginning at 7 pm.  We have a Bible lesson and dessert and we also work on crafts for the toddler Sunday school class.  During the fall of 2010, the evening circle ladies will continue their study of Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World, by Joanna Weaver.

During both circle meetings, we have a short business report getting information from month to month on our activities the ladies are involved in.  We also enjoy our social time together.

MISSIONS

Throughout the year, the ladies in our church support various local missions, including The Caring Place, Habitat for Humanity, Newton Child Development Center, Family Homecare and Hospice, Bachman Academy, and J.O.Y. (Jesus, Others, Yourself) School.

Knit three, pearl three, knit three, pearl three.    We also have an outreach ministry where ladies knit prayers and blessings into prayer shawls and scarves to offer comfort to those in need.
